Shaving & Cancer — What you Might Not Know

Surely there is no way that not shaving can cause cancer… right?

At the time of this article, we are nearing the end of the coveted “No Shave November”. For those that may not know what “No Shave November is” – It is a time in which men, who participate in this yearly tradition, do not shave their mustache nor beard for the entire month of November, as the name implies. Go it? Good! Now let’s find out how the heck cancer and shaving, correlate!

Does shaving cause cancer?

To answer the question… Of course not! You see, “No Shave November”, at least in modern times, is a tradition that was started by some Australian gentlemen to raise awareness for Cancer.

The idea is that men would let their beard grow in all its natural glory to help raise awareness of cancer and to honor those that are battling, or have battled cancer and had to go through the very unfortunate hair loss. Women also participate by not shaving their legs.

Well… we hope that while the beards are growing that the awareness is growing even faster! May the beards grow wild and be well kept.

This is quite the site. Could you have ever imagined Dr. Phil without his most recognizable celebrity feature?… (well aside from the confidently worn bald dome.) I would have never thought that this would be something that we would be able to witness in this universe. So it seems that, yes indeed as in his own words “he did it!” But you see the reason that Dr. Phil decided to post this onto his Instagram is rather interesting. Here is why he did this.

So what made the daytime host remove a part of his look that we have all gown to know him by? See, Although Dr. Phil is serious on his hit TV show, in real life he is a bit of a jokester. He took to Instagram on April 1st… Needles to say, this was merely and April fools joke! Now we can all now wake up from this twilight zone of a dream! Yes – it was just a very well photoshopped image of Dr. Phil. Good one Doc!

According to various customer reviews, these are one of the longest lasting, sharpest and constant double edge razor blades on the market. Dorco has always had a slight stigma for being an entry level razor blades that dulls fast and doesn’t have that initial sharpness.  Usually reserved for those just getting into shaving or barber school.
